at Body & Soul festival in the tent where I played they had a beautiful well set up Funktion One system.  I think I am correct when I say that these speakers have wooden frames, not metal, which is why they have this delightful thump vibe through the earth and across a field.  They sound best out in the wild that’s for sure.
So I was singing away, and realised something was feeling almost too good to believe.
Normally I hear my voice from the vibrations in my body, and I know which note I am singing from the part of my chest / head that is resonating.  But the speakers had such hifi quality to them (and were loud but crystal clear) I could only hear my voice from the speakers, not my body, but therefor there was a slight latency between what i was singing and hearing from the speakers.  my live music and voice sounded like a hifi cd. out in a field in a corner of Island, this is not what I was expecting.
thanks to the guys there for setting up such a great system and having great pride in your sound and all details. Zoom
